boho so wonderful

So, both of my girls are actually sleeping at the same time this afternoon so I got to make a card~! I combined the color challenge for today over on SCS (cc155)and also beate's sketch challenge from a few weeks back-you can find her here (wsc33). I really like these colors. As I mentioned previously I was really scared of the River Rock color, but after finding yet another combo I am convinced I like it! And I really like this sketch! I might be hooked on it too! One of these things is not like the other...

One of these things just doesn't belong. I love this picture! My mom pointed out that Bryan is the only one that doesn't have a pacifier in his mouth.
These pictures are from last weekend up at the family cabin. We forgot the sled but Morgan had just as much fun riding the tarp that we found in the garage with her good buddy Regan! We had a great time and almost got snowed in but thanks to Brian's (not my BrYan) Bobcat service we got out just fine. Which brings up a kinda funny story. We were desperate to have someone come and dig us out, so I asked Bryan to call-well he couldn't find Brian's Bobcat in the phone book, so I took matters into my own hands (as this is what needs to be done occassionally {wink, wink}). Apparently the only way to spell Bryan is with a Y according to my husband! It never occured to him to look under BrIan! OMG! Chalk this up as another reason men get married!

Enjoy!

This is one of the cards that we are going to be making at my stamp camp next week. I love love love these colors together! The colors are regal rose and river rock. I have been hesitant to use River Rock, because, quite frankly it scares me! Now I love it and we are using it on 2 cards! WOOHOO! Nothing like facing your fears! Hope everyone else likes it as much as I do. And the stamp set I used is new too. It is "Enjoy Every Moment." Thanks for looking.

Is it just me...

Is it just me or is everyone in a constant struggle to be smarter than their children? Example: We were standing at the top of the stairs and I was holding my two month old daughter Skylar. We needed to go downstairs so we could get dinner ready. I told my oldest daughter Morgan to come down with me and she replied "carry me." As I already was holding a small person I could not carry another. So I replied, "no you are a big girl, you can go down the stairs by yourself." To which she replied, "hug me mommy, hug me." So here I am thinking that my daughter loves me so much that she wants to give me a big hug. Well, much to my surprise I bend over to give her a hug and she wraps her arms around my neck and will not let go! "Downstairs!" she says. "Dinner mommy!"
Well, I guess for the moment my daughter has out-smarted me! Not just another cute face.

Card Night

So we had our card swap with the bellas on Friday and the theme was Masculine or Kids cards. We always give ourselves a challenge and this time it was power tools! Anything you can plug in to use on your card. So I took the challenge and went over board-I did heat embossing with copper embossing powder. I used the new "Wanted" and "Bronc Buster" sets from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. I am loving the new scallop circle punch! I use it for so many things and it goes with so many sets! And I liked the colors in this one. Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, and Very Vanilla.

Everyone's cards were super cute! Good friends and great cards!

Forever in PJ's

I haven't even gotten out of my pj's and not to try and fool you this is a frequent. So, when wondering what to call my blog I find it only fitting. I sat trying to think of something cute, something that encompasses who I am, but in reality this is it. It really says a lot about you. No, I certainly don't sleep 'til noon, but I do have two small children 18 months apart and, quite frankly, getting dressed only to be spit up on, pooped on, thrown up on or peed on is overrated!
Why start a blog? Well, because today it sounded better than dusting, laundry, disinfecting, sanitizing, purging, picking up or any other household chore! WOOHOO!
